Yamunotri 

The Yamunotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Yamuna. Yamunotri is a place to seek the blessings of goddess Yamuna and save themselves from the agony of death, as Devi Yamuna is sister of Yama, the God of Death.It is one of the India’s four chota chardham. It is situated at an altitude of 3,293 metres (10,804 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayan. The temple of Yamuna, on the left bank of the Yamuna, was constructed by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. 

The Yamunotri temple remains closed in winter and reopened in April-May month and remains open till October- November. 

Gangotri Dham

Gangotri is a town and a Nagar Panchayat in Uttarkashi district in Uttarakhand, India. It is located 99 km from Uttarkashi. It is a Hindu pilgrim town located on the banks of the river Bhagirathi which is the origin of the river Ganges. The Gangotri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga. Gangotri is the source of Holy river Ganga.

Gangotri temple remain closed during winter and opens in April-May month every year.

Kedarnath Dham

Kedarnath is a popular Hindu temple and one of the twelve jyotirlinga of Lord Shiva. The temple is located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, in the Uttarakhand. Due to extreme weather conditions, the temple remain open for the general public only between the months of April to November. The Kedarnath Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is a popular Hindu shrine and pilgrimage destination which attracts devotees from all over the world throughout the year.

Badrinath Dham

Badrinath Dham or Temple is a popular Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple is located in the town of Badrinath in Uttarakhand, India. The temple is also considered as one of the 108 Divya Desams dedicated to Vishnu—holy shrines for Vaishnavas—who is worshiped as Badrinath. The temple is open for six months every year between the end of April and the beginning of November because of extreme weather conditions in the Himalayan region. The temple is located in Garhwal hill tracks in Chamoli district along the banks of Alaknanda River. It is one of the most visited pilgrimage centers of India.

The Char Dham circuit was created by Adi Shankaracharya during 8th century. The Chardham yatra comprises Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. 

The ideal time to visit char dham yatra is considered from the April month to the june month. This is the best time to visit Chardham as the weather is pleasant temperatures are bearable that makes exploring this sacred pilgrimage destinations with more joy and enthusiasm. It is dangerous to visit Chardham in the rainy season between the month of June to September when the region is prone to landslides.

Sometimes it rains in this area as the weather can change at any time here and also you must bring your personal medicines during the trip to Char Dham.
