Nayagarh is located in the eastern parts of Odisha. The town is the district headquarters of Nayagarh, which is 90 kilometers from its state capital Bhubaneshwar. Thrived in the natural beauty, the city has many ancient temples and historical places, shrines of living Shakti Peethas, and Shree Jagannath Temple.

The city holds immense historical importance in the earlier medieval era period. The region has witnessed several dynasties’ rise and fall, including Bhori, Surya, and Ganga Rulers.
